Your mission:
- You support Planted’s new site in Memmingen by combining process, product, and machine operation expertise to ensure smooth production.
- You structure the knowledge exchange between pilot and industrial scale and train local personnel.
- You ramp-up Planted’s new biotech lines, providing technical knowhow, processes, documentation, and analytical methods to ensure stable daily operations.
- You commission and ramp-up new biotech lines, supporting production with expertise and necessary documentation.
- You perform cleaning validation and coordinate contaminant monitoring efforts.
- You lead troubleshooting activities for biotech lines, coordinating with operations, maintenance, and suppliers.
- You implement digitalized and automated systems to track fermentation performance data and hand it over to the operations team.
- You plan and coordinate regular maintenance intervals to improve fermentation performance.
- You manage projects on solid-state fermentation from lab scale to full production, including process optimization.
- You oversee the entire process from microorganism storage to substrate inoculation with activated microorganisms.
- You design and establish a biotech lab at Planted’s satellite research facility, enabling routine product and raw material analyses.
You:
- Have completed an apprenticeship or education as a Brewmaster, Cheese Technologist, Master Baker, or similar field.
- Have further education or hold a higher degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, (Bio)chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Have a proven track record of successfully completing industrialization projects, moving new technologies, processes, or products from lab to production.
- Bring experience in designing and optimizing solid-state fermentation processes on an industrial scale for food applications.
- Are comfortable working under pressure, handling unconventional scientific ideas, and adapting to unfamiliar challenges.
- Are prepared to work several months at Planted Kemptthal, Switzerland for training and to ensure knowledge transfer to Planted Memmingen, Germany.
